Definition of a Toe: "A part of the foot used to find furniture in the dark!"Twinkle Toes?! It seems that several gals in our running squad have been waylaid by broken or stubbed toes recently! When I crashed into the door yesterday I became the 4th (but least serious) of the victims!
First Tia tried showing her soccer skills on the Kindergarten playground in her flip flops (not a good idea).
Andie was next. Her injury also involved soccer. This time an "Incredible Hulk" of the opposing team kicked her foot (supposedly unintentional). Even in a covered shoe her toe doubled in size and has bothered her the past 2 weeks!
Finally, Jennifer was rushing to rescue Emily from harm's way and her toe met the baseboard. She's awaiting X-ray results and could barely walk on Monday.
I guess my toe just didn't want to be left out! Wanted to swell right up like the others! Mine is actually far more of your simple "stub" variety than anything close to the purplish/bluish and possibly broken toe Jennifer is hobbling around on. But we are all hoping that our marathon training won't be inconvenienced by our clumsiness!
Guess we can all relate to the following exchange:
Husband: "Honey, if it hurts so much, why are we going shopping?"
Wife: "I said I have a broken TOE, not a broken spirit!"
