Paige is pretty much supposed to stick with soft foods for the next week. Things like bananas, mashed potatoes, pastas. And no popcorn or nuts for over a month! No more Trader Joes Sweet & Salty Trail Mix for awhile! Bummer!
Wisdom Teeth: The Movie! When the patient arrived for the time slot after Paige's extraction the girl's mother had a video camera with plans to film her daughter waking up while loopy on medication. The mother informed me You Tube had hilarious videos of this sort online. She seemed hopeful that her daughter would say ridiculous things insuring a popular You Tube watch! To get an idea of the mother/daughter combo, think very obese white trash; which is terrible of me to point out but it should give a better visual.
The mom's plan struck me as a bad idea generally, especially if I applied the "would you like it if someone did this to you" test. I see the potential for humor in capturing someone drugged up on film but personally I hope no one would videotape me under those circumstances! You could also apply the "are we laughing with them or at them" standard. But the mother claimed her daughter had okayed (maybe even encouraged ) the camera use. Go figure.
So, I hope my kids will all appreciate the fact that I would never post a You Tube clip where they aren't coherent or lucid!
And, back to The Wisdom Teeth Diet: it remains to be seen whether all this soft, mushy food will bring about weight loss or weight gain. The answer may lie in whether we focus the "soft food" on quarts of ice cream or on unlimited bananas! Paige can be our guinea pig for The Wisdom Teeth Diet and we'll let you know how it goes! But don't look for diet results on You Tube!
