I loved words that sounded like their meaning before I even knew there was a name for it. Then when I learned the term “onomatopoeia,” I loved that word too. Just try to say "enunciate" without articulating the word!
So, for your reading pleasure, here are just a few of my favorite examples of onomatopoeia. I pared down my list just to keep it simple, but as you can see, I am a geek when it comes to words!
