To Be, or Not To Be? -Hamlet

To Be (truant), or Not To Be (truant)?

It looks like Jenae Kingsbury going to make her goal of NEVER missing a single day of Seminary - all 4 years! It's quite amazing!

Although, and not to diminish her feat (I'm in awe), I do subscribe to the theory that it is actually easier for Jenae than it is for her fellow Seminary students!

It isn't easier for Jenae because she is a morning person or because her circumstances make it easier. It's easier for Jenae simply because she doesn't have to revisit the decision on a daily basis! (Should I get up? Should today be a sleep in day? What about my cold? Etc.!)

When we commit to something it is so much easier when we fully commit. Then it becomes our lifestyle and not an ongoing decision. For Jenae, Seminary is like brushing her teeth. She just comes. Every morning! No deliberating. It is sancrosanct! While for lots of youth, Seminary attendance is a day by day decision.

And not to be outdone by his sibling, Brent Kingsbury is in line to complete his Freshman year with 100% attendance! (hmm...the power of a good example, perhaps?) So in just 3 years and 23 days, Brent could graduate with Perfect Attendance too! Very Impressive!
