Last night Spencer Bryan broke his arm at Soccer Practice! Obviously this photo was taken a week or so ago since he'll now be sporting a big white cast! ...On his left arm and luckily he isn't a southpaw. Spencer just started 1st grade at Van Meter Elementary. We ADORE Spencer! Before his little sister Emily's arrival; Spencer was Andie's favorite sidekick. When Andie moved home from San Francisco three and a half years ago, Spencer wasn't quite three. He quickly became a perfect playmate for Andie. Spencer is sweet and non judgmental, always available, willing to go anywhere or do anything, pretty much as easy going as they come! Anyone who can tolerate Andie's endless photo sessions deserves a medal and Spencer would qualify!
Well, in honor of Spencer's Broken Arm, I'll share a "dumb blonde" joke I heard related to broken bones.
A blonde walks into a Doctor's office and tells the Doctor she's broken EVERY SINGLE BONE in her body. "That's Impossible!" says the Doctor.
The blonde says, "No, it's really true. Look!" She then touches her leg with her index finger and screams "Ouch!" Then she touches her arm and yells "Eeeeoooow!" Finally she touches her ribs and can barely maintain her composure as the tears start to roll down her face. She says, "See, I told you I broke every bone in my body."
The Doctor rubs his chin, then conducts a thorough examination. "Well, miss," he tells her, "I've got some good news and some bad news. The good news is, you haven't broken every bone in your body. The bad news is, you've broken your finger."
I love Spencer! good post. he was brave and I am proud. He'll definitely coming over for some games of Wii soon... tho no playing with that arm- tho it is his left one, thankfully.
